The Battle of Bull Run; The Masonic Influence on World History

Written by Gary Wonning

Wilmer McLean’s farm in Manassas Junction, Virginia, was the location of the first battle of Bull Run in 1861.

Confederate General P.G.T. Beauregard, who was using McLean’s house as his headquarters, wrote: “… of this artillery fight was the destruction of the dinner of myself and staff by a federal shell that fell into the fire-place of my headquarters at the McLean House.”

The Confederates won the first battle of Bull Run due in large part to General “Stonewall” Jackson holding his ground like a “stone wall,” resulting in his nickname.

With momentum on their side, Confederate troops could have pursued the fleeing and exhausted Union army 20 miles to Washington and won the war. Instead, an unusually heavy rain turned roads into mud pits and they called off the pursuit.

Coming to the Aid of a Brother

YOUR FAVORITE METAPHYSICAL SUPERSTORE

The evening began as any other. I was at home preparing dinner when the phone ran. It was a friend of mine and he was concerned about
his brother.
It seems Jim had talked with his brother earlier and he seemed rather disoriented. Some of the things he said were incoherent and didn’t make any sense.  Jim wanted me to go with him to see if we could find his brother and determine what the issues were.

His brother had recently became a member of the masonic lodge and was muttering something about it that didn’t make any sense. Jim thought
since I belonged to the masons I could help.Since there is nothing in the MASONIC RITUALS that should cause anyone alarm, I had no  idea what
this could all be about, confused, I decided to go.

Jim’s brother was thought to be at work , but we weren’t really sure where he was, and we really didn’t want to go wandering around a big factory , we decided to drive past his house first on the slim chance he didn’t go to work. That didn’t work in our favor, he wasn’t home. The next stop was to check out a local bar, he was known to frequent. No luck there either. Driving to the factory where he worked the second shift, we first drove
through the parking lots to see if we could find his truck. Traveling up and down many rows of vehicles, his truck was nowhere to be found.

Deciding to chance it, we walked into the plant, security was never very high at this company and we could wander around anywhere we wanted to go and not be questioned. Of course, his work station had to be near the center of the plant.

I had never met the man so I had no idea who I was looking for. Finally, Jim spotted him near his work station. Approaching him he seemed a
little confused. Jim introduced us and his brother looked to me to say something, having no idea what was going on in his mind, I decided to play it by ear and just say whatever came to mind.

Not knowing where else to go, I said something about him joining the masons. He responded to the affirmative, which lead  nowhere. Reaching
at straws and grasping a subject that had absolutely nothing to do with masonic ritual, I asked him if he believed in reincarnation.

Although there is nothing in the rituals about reincarnation, the subject of raising from the dead is discussed. As I mentioned this, I saw a gleam
in his eye and knew I had hit a home run.
He responded that he did, but really didn’t know much about it and was afraid to discuss it with anyone for fear of humiliation and condemnation.

I responded that I did believe in it and despite there being nothing in the masonic work that refers to reincarnation, there are references that
could be construed as such.

We went on to discuss the subject for a while and with that he seemed satisfied and more relaxed. We bid our farewells and left the building.

Enlightenment

At this period of time in the history of man, there is probably more individual searching being done into the theories behind the origin of the human race, what happens after death, the possibility of life on other planets, and what our relationship is to these life forms, if they do exist. There are millions of people who are questioning the existence of God, who he really is, and what is my relationship with him? Is he someone who mysteriously floats around on a cloud watching and judging us from above like some bigger than life Santa Claus, or is he, like many of the esoteric sciences claim, a part of our inner Self, whom we have constant contact with, someone whom we and everything in the universe are connected and are thus one? Each of us in our own way is experiencing what God is, and thus we are each a part of God, thus we are God! This book is a brief account of my search for my own truth as I know it today, everything stated actually happened, according to my own perception. It has been an exciting search, at times very frustrating, very rewarding, and above all, very fulfilling. My main purpose in writing this book is to show that anyone, even a bashful unfamous country boy can have these awakenings, you don’t have to be rich or well-known to find your connection to Divine Source.

Memories of Charleston South Carolina

Charleston, South Carolina is truly a beautiful city. The attractions and history surrounding Charleston offers enough to keep you busy for days.

The downtown and battery area is  one of the most interesting places in all of America, much of  America’s early history can be traced to here.

Whenever visiting a new area, I always like to take some sort of tour to familiarize myself with the layout of the local community, then I  strike out on my own.

My first journey to Charleston took place several years ago during a period of time when I was searching for the meaning of life and was for the first time in my life consciously doing a lot of past life research.

At that time I had participated in  a few hypnotic sessions in which had I recalled previous lifetimes , some of which were in colonial America. I was still a little skeptical and this skepticism naturally lead me to encounters that would reinforce what I had previously experienced.

Looking for something different to do, I decided to take a horse carriage ride around town, it looked like fun. The ride began at the Marketplace, a sort of farmers, flea market located near downtown. Across the street was the Chapel, an old church the seafaring sailors worshiped at when they came home from the sea. It had been converted into a restaurant and the food was very good.

As the ride progressed towards the bay, I couldn’t help but notice how familiar some of the buildings looked. I had never been here before, in this lifetime at least, so I began to realize there must be something to this past life thing. How else could I remember these things?

It took on an almost surreal atmosphere. I was living in two dimensions at once, the 20th  and the 18th century as well. Profound. As the ride neared it’s end, I began to think there had to be a Masonic Lodge around here somewhere, immediately the guide looked at me and said,”The Masonic Lodge was in that building over there.”

“Wow!”

With that we were at the end of  the tour and I was off to another adventure. Another lesson learned and remembered.

Why I am a Conservative.

96595-grandturkmasoniclodge
Masonic Lodge, Cockburntown, Grand Turk

I grew up on a farm in a very conservative rural southeastern Indiana environment. My parents and most of my family were, and still are conservative, and those values no doubt rubbed off on me. But as I looked back and began to question things,I realized that those teachings were not only the way I was raised, but those values are the only ones that “work.”

About the time I was forty , I had experienced a good portion of “life” .  My life hadn’t turned out the way I had planned, even though I had tried to do everything the “right” way, (get a good job, join the right clubs, etc.) I began to question my values and look for answers.

The journey I began took me to the corners of the earth, during which time I studied the customs , ways, and beliefs of the Aborigines, the American Indian, the Maya, the Egyptians, and many others.

Time and time again, the same answer keeps coming back to me.

I have found our society has become extremely entitlement conscious. A lot of people want something for nothing and they think that the government should pay for it.

They don’t realize that when the government pays for something, those free benefits become very expensive. Vast amounts of waste and corruption enter into the scene.

We keep inching closer and closer to socialism in the United States, that is not what our founding fathers had in mind. Our country was founded on the principles of a free market and individualism, that is how we became the leading economic country in the world.

The human soul thrives best when it is free to choose and make it’s own decisions, most people don’t want to be drones.

Socialism simply doesn’t work, when competition is taken out of the mix, people aren’t rewarded for achieving, All incentive is lost and a lot of the new innovations are never innovated, because there is no reward.

Government is never the answer, that has been proven worldwide, whenever any government tries to solve a problem, the problem just gets worse.

Everything that can be done by the private economy should be left in the private sector. Without a doubt, greed enters into the equation, ,but when any one company or sector becomes too “greedy” someone with a better idea and a cheaper price comes along and knocks them off their pedestal.

We as individuals have to solve our own problems and take our life into our own hands, that is the only way it works, it is government’s  job to stay out of the way.
