Those of a Liberal Persuasion Are Driven By Emotions

I’m sure you have noticed as I have the extreme difference in our two political parties in today’s world?  Never have I seen the differences so obvious.

Conventional wisdom tells us that liberals are more forgiving and generous. However true of false this may be, the perception is advanced by those on the left and the media.

I liken it to relating the two parties to the male and female energies of the human existence, females are more emotional and their existence is stereotypically more emotional, while the male isn’t governed as much by emotions.

In our personal life as well as politics, we need balance, this includes balancing our emotional and practical life.

When our lives are ruled by our emotions, life can only be a roller coaster, changing with every hill and curve we encounter .

When our lives are too male influenced, our life can be mundane and slightly boring, so we need balance.

Over the last several centuries, the earth has been controlled by mainly male energy, this has now changed.

Nature is always attempting to maintain a  balance and as a result we now are faced with an overabundance of female energy, resulting in an over supply of emotional energy and not enough of the balancing self control energy.

Thus we have chaos, we undoubtedly need to express our emotions, it would be a pretty boring world if we didn’t, but we have reached a point where feelings are controlling life and there is no balance.

In the human race, feelings are the dominant trait, the one that can most  easily control our life and turn it into chaos. In order to make our life into something admirable, we need to control our passions and not let them lead to all sorts of destructive habits such as over eating, drug and alcohol abuse, overspending, and the many other vices in life.

It’s a never ending struggle.

We Have A Prosperity Disease

Life was a lot slower and simpler in the fifties and sixties.

It is often said that Americans have become lazy and  fat.

In many ways this is probably true.

The generations before, in comparison to the baby boomer’s and the generations that followed them , grew up in poverty.

In comparison to today’s standards, there weren’t any wealthy people. The work was hard, wages low, even if you owned your own business, and there weren’t many opportunities for a luxurious vacation or lifestyle. Regardless of one’s wealth, life was hard and unforgiving.

After world war two, that all began to change,   new advances in technology brought about a whole new lifestyle for most. Compared to the standards of yesterday, very few people live in poverty in this country.

With the rise in income and opportunity, our wealth as a country rapidly increased, along with it new gadgets and adult toys, cars, etc, took over our lives.

Restaurants sprang up every where. In the fifties, there weren’t that many restaurants, and hardly any were open on Sunday. As we grew tired of eating bare substance food, our diets began enjoying the addition of steaks, high fat and sugary foods, along with a more sedentary lifestyle and lack of exercise, we began to indulge and overeat.

Soon we were gaining weight and consequently out weighed and were taller than our ancestors.

This opulence has created many issues today, health issues being at the forefront.

When traveling to other countries, it is easy to distinguish the Americans from the rest of the world, we are much bigger and fatter than they are.

We have also succumbed to abandoning our values that made our country great, and as many great civilizations before us, we face the danger of being victims of our own success.

But the future is in our hands, we can use our prosperity to our advantage.

The Advantages of White Privilege

Today, in many circles it is thought that because a person’s skin is white, they have lead an easier life and not been exposed to some of the hardships many have seen, only because they are white.

There are many, many whites who have lead lives just as tumultuous as any other particular element of society. To discover the truth in this, one just needs to look around at all the various lives people of all colors lead and not just look at the stereotypical person

While stereotypically, there may be some truth to this, I believe that each particular race, ethnicity, religion and genders have certain advantages to their particular station in life.

There are definitely certain advantages to being male or female,  despite what many think, in the end they balance out. If one realistically looks into this, with an open mind, they will discover this is true.

I believe the advantage to being white, especially a white male, is that white males have no one else to blame their misfortunes and shortcomings on.

Every other sector  of society has an excuse for failing. For many it is always someone else’s fault, a reason, however unfounded , can always be found to rationalize their shortcomings or lack of desire. They can blame it on their gender, their race, religion, or various other factors, and not face up to their own personal responsibility in resolving the matter.  It is always easier to blame someone else.

We come into this life choosing our station in life and a general path we will follow, it is called free will. We subconsciously choose the so-called hardships we will face in order for our soul to evolve. Once we understand the hardships we chose, we can then decide to change our life for the better.

Without taking personal responsibility for our life by blaming others, our lives will never get better. We can’t depend on others to give us a better life.

It is up to us, individually, and us alone; sure we may attract people into our life to help with this, but it is our responsibility to bring those individuals and opportunities to the forefront. Until we are ready to learn and grow, no one can help us.

To me, white privilege speeds this process along. Being white, especially a male ensures that we have no excuses, we have no one to blame, it is for us to do. There are no excuses.

Can you see a white male blaming a woman or someone of a different color for our shortcomings and getting any sympathy?

It ain’t gonna happen. And it shouldn’t.  This is our white privilege, because we have no excuses, other than ourself, we are compelled to take action and stand up for ourselves.

That is a privilege, it enables us to have the opportunity to improve our lives.

We are each responsible for our actions and our lot in life, if  your lot in life isn’t what you would like, get up off your duff and change it.

Especially in the United States, we have free will and freedom, we are free to chose our destiny, based on desire and ability.

The Case For Past Life Studies

Many today don’t believe in reincarnation, especially in our western civilizations.

Those in the “New Thought” community are into all the various kinds of healing and spiritual modes, but many never consider the idea of reincarnation.

I suppose It is just too far out there to even consider. Many consider it taboo or not even possible, they are so hung up on being a body with a soul, instead of a soul with a body that many don’t even consider the possibility of having a soul.

They are so hung up on the material life that nothing else really matters. They have kicked God out of their life so life is all about buying the next new car or video game.

Even though they are rebelling against conventional religion,  and the beliefs held by most people, reincarnation is just too long a bridge to cross.

What if by studying who we were in the past it could open up a whole new area of understanding of why one acts and feels and believes as they do in their present existence.

What if while researching our past we discovered we were once a different race, or gender, or sexual orientation and  we believed entirely differently politically than we do today.

What if we were the black who suffered under slavery, or an Irishman who was once discriminated against.

What if we were the business man who struggled daily to provide an income to raise his family and who worried about providing an opportunity and income for tens, hundreds, or thousands of employees who depended on him daily  for their basic needs by working for him.

He knew that if he failed, many people would become unemployed and their families could go hungry.

We could discover we were a priest, or minister, rabbi or medicine man. How would that change our perspective?

Each and every life, regardless of how important it may seem, is valuable and it is not time wasted.  Many times living a life as a poor peasant is more valuable as learning is concerned than being the ruler of a great nation.

To me, the philosophy of reincarnation only makes sense, if it is true, then it could explain much of the issues we have in today’s world and if people understood all the lives they may have lead under different circumstances and different roles, people would finally understand other people and how they would feel if they were that person.

Couldn’t that change the world?

In Our Culture: We Create Victims

In our culture, we create victims.

By looking at someone as a victim, It makes  us feel good to be able to help someone who is downtrodden and oppressed.

By feeling as though we are victims, it gives us an excuse for acting and behaving the way we do without taking responsibility for our actions.  It is easier to blame someone else and remove all responsibility. 

After all, it is always someone else’s vault.

Many of our politicians keep getting elected over and over again by continuously blaming someone else for their actions, and by creating victims by teaching them to rely on government to be their savior by continuously telling people that government is the one who can solve all your problems and give you the life you deserve, when the truth is, the government is the main cause of most of our problems.

When humans are left to solving their problems, using their own God given free will and initiative they are quite capable of solving any issue that may come before them .

All the government needs to do is just get out of the way.

Liberalism only survives by creating victims, promising to give you the things you need, in order to further the cause of victim hood.

To further their cause and increase the size of government, they  need to take up the the fig leaf of victim hood. The liberals need to create more victims to depend on “free” handouts. 

Conservatives believe that every one is in charge of their lives and can do what they want as long as it doesn’t infringe on the rights of others.

They just go on and live life staying out of others peoples business and go on to create a better life for ourselves.

Mind your own business, do what is morally and ethically right, and if you become wealthy you make others wealthy too.

When ever I got into a jam, my dad would always say, ” You were smart enough to get into this mess, I’m sure you are smart enough to get yourself out of it.”

He would then turn and go home, saying, “I’ll be there if you really need me.”

In other words, he was telling me it was my karma and I was the only one who could fix it.

No one else can fight your battles, when you finally learn that, your battles will vanish.

As long as we try to sidestep those issues that keep springing up in our lives, they will continue to plague us.

Many times, we do others the biggest injustice by helping them, they will never grow past their issues until they stand on their own two feet and get to the root of their problems.

People Fear Discussing the Afterlife

Searching beyond conventional wisdom. Open new avenues in your spiritual search.

People are intrigued about the afterlife and wonder what happens to them after they pass from this earthly existence.

They discuss it until the cows come home, but it never goes any further. We often sit and talk about it for hours, then we sink back into our daily routines and seldom think about it until the next meaningless discussion.

Even the Mormons,  with their focus on the afterlife won’t go beyond a certain point, their patent answer is , we’ll let it up to God its not for us to know , Why isn’t it up to us, it is our soul and our future?

Very few ever investigate what is out there for us after death.

Is it fear of the unknown that keeps many from checking it out? Do we really want to know, for fear it may not be what we expect? Or is it fear we may receive an answer that contradicts conventional wisdom and would go against what the church teaches.

Would it so disrupt what we have been taught that our core values would be disputed and the values our whole life is based?

If people started believing something other than what we have been taught in Sunday school, do they think God will strike them down?

From someone  who has investigated what may occur after death and who had their beliefs changed, I haven’t been struck down by God, I’m still here and although my beliefs have changed it hasn’t changed my belief in God, or the validity of the Christian religion , it has only added to it.

I never really believed that Jesus was my savior. If we follow the teachings of Jesus, we will inevitably lead a better life, that will save us from much heartache,not only in this life but in what follows as well.

In that  sense, Jesus is our Savior, rather what he taught is our Savior. 

There really is nothing to fear when investigating what may happen to us after we pass on, you will find your truth.

It may not be someone else’s truth, but it is your truth.

In life as we continue to search, our concept of truth may change many times, the truth doesn’t change, it is only how we perceive truth that changes. In the final analysis, I believe we will all come to the same conclusion.

Many Want a Utopia On Earth

Since the beginning of time people have talked of a heaven on earth. Many have this illusion that living a life of peaceful bliss would be utopia, and something to look forward to.

Isn’t creating a heaven on earth the same as creating a Utopian society?

Utopian societies never work and actually go against human nature,  we aren’t created to enjoy a life with no challenges and live blissfully for several years. To be content and happy, our souls need to be challenged , and we need to learn and understand this.

When one becomes idle with no purpose in life they become bitter, restless and bored. This is the kind of environment a Utopian society creates.

We all need challenges in life and the ability to succeed, often against seemingly impossible odds. The human soul needs to overcome challenges to realize it’s full potential.

If  society takes away those challenges, there is no need to excel, we all become the same regardless of what we do,  with no need or ability to succeed.

Many, through time and even today look for a savior to save us from ourselves. The ancient Meso-Americans often spoke of a great man who would come from the east and make a better world for them. When that great savior, {Quetzalcoatl}, shows up, guess what, he killed them.

The Australian government in an effort to “fix” past atrocities, have over compensated the aboriginal culture, trying to right a wrong. 

In spite of their good intentions, what they have accomplished, is to make many of the aboriginal culture dependent and resentful.  Many get resentful if they believe the government has given someone else more than they themselves have received, instead of being thankful for what they have been given. They have become dependent on the Australian government, and lost the desire to improve their lot in life, because their basic needs have been met by government. 

The best course in life would have been to let bygones be bygones and move forward to make life better for everyone. 

In today’s world, many look for the return of Jesus to save us from our sins.

I have the utmost respect for Jesus, I believe he did in fact walk upon the earth and spoke great truths.

Following his teachings would give each and every one of us a chance to enjoy a life we could only imagine, while looking for a heaven on earth would only create discontent and jealousies. 

Would Jesus’s return create a promised heaven on earth as some  mystics prophesize? 

I doubt it, we, each and every one of us has free will, and everyone has a side for good side and a side for evil, there is good and evil in each and everyone of us, consequently, we all need to experience the good and evil of life. If we never have a so-called negative experience in our life, we cannot recognize good when it comes. 

We live on a planet of dual polarity, there are always two sides of an issue, good, evil, male, female, rich, poor, light, darkness, etc.

You can’t have one without the other.

This will always be true. No one can change that . I believe that is what Jesus was trying to teach us.

Instead of looking to Jesus as a savior, we need to look to his and other mystics  teachings for wise counsel. 

The best we can hope for is that humanity will reach an understanding that we are all different individuals with different needs and desires, and different life plans.

People need to understand this and accept the fact that no two people will ever think alike on everything.

Its OK to disagree, live and let live, let each person believe as he desires.

As long as his or her beliefs don’t affect me, it is none of my business what they believe.

It is also none of my business what they think of me.

It is only the fear that their thoughts will harm  us  that drives these insecurities. I have never seen a thought harm any one.

It’s Time For A New Way Of Thinking

Are you tired of the same old narrative?

Are you ready for something new, a new way of thinking which combines old common sense values and  new thought ideas.

Have you reached a dead end with your religion and the way people try to resolve the problems of the world and the issues in their life?

It seems every conversation ends in the same old time worn ideas that no longer work.

Are you tired of getting the same answers to the same questions, “Why do bad things happen to good people?”

“It’s God’s Will.”

To me that is a non answer.

The only one who can give us the answers to our questions is ourself. The answers lie within, and my answers may not be your answers. Your answers today may not be your answers tomorrow or the next day.

Many of the answers to today’s issues are thought to be hidden in some secret document. The answers are not hidden, they are right out in plain view for those who seek them.

All we need to do is to look within and get our egos and old thoughts out of the way.

It can be quite a journey.

I Am Who I Am

A journey into the unknown. Open new avenues in your spiritual journey.

I have finally come to realize my view points are entirely different than most people on planet earth.

I have traveled extensively and observed life in many ways most people never have the opportunity to participate in.

Many years ago, I questioned the existence of God and the mysteries of life. I began to wonder what it was all about and after asking people of faith, the only answer I received concerning an issue I was having about why bad things happen to good people, the only answer  was that it was God’s Will. To me that was a non answer.

  Why does God will me for a particular event and not someone else. Thus through my search I began to find my answers. The search took me to many lands and I was privileged to talk with many spiritual leaders, many who were from native cultures.

I was fortunate enough to make contact with life forms not of this planet, and from them  have and continue to learn much. We are not alone in the universe.

The life journey we are all one can only be done alone, we must walk alone. Many times others will come into our life for a brief time or longer to aid and assist, but the journey is ours. No one can take it for or from  us. What I have discovered is my truth, and no one can take it from me. If you don’t understand or cannot comprehend what I am referring to, I understand, you are on your own path. We each experience reality in a different manner and what I have seen and felt has set me apart from others, that is OK. 

It just sometimes makes for a lonely life. But,  often times the loneliness gives me the opportunity to explore creation even more and learn new things. We choose to be born into a life situation of our own free will and accord. From the very beginning of life we learn from the environment we are born into.  I was born on a small farm and was an only child for about ten years, during that time, I spent many hours alone and entertaining myself. It gave me much time to contemplate life and to form my own conclusions based on my parents and others input.

It gave me a perspective that stays with me even today, my core values remain much the same as they were during my childhood.
