Electro Magnetic Pulses and the Coronal Mass Ejection, December 21, 2012 Could Have Been the End

The ancient Mayan calendar that ended on December 21,  2012 may have been more accurate than we assumed.

If a huge solar eruption in 2012 had hit the Earth, the effects would have been so devastating that we’d still be recovering several years later, scientists working on several new studies conclude.

A huge coronal mass ejection — a large cloud of hot plasma sent into space — erupted from the sun on July 23, 2012. The CME went through Earth’s orbit, and had it happened only one week earlier, our planet would have been in the way and faced severe technological consequences. Within 6 months, which coincides with December 21, 2012, there would have been a total collapse of society. The world would not have ended, but life would surely have digressed by several centuries until we could have once again recovered our technology.

There would have been three waves of damage associated with the extreme solar storm. First, X-rays and ultraviolet radiation from the solar flare would have produced radio blackouts and GPS navigation errors. The second part would have seen satellites fried by energetic particles like electrons and protons, which arrived only minutes to hours later

Finally, magnetized plasma from the CME would have struck our planet within the next day. Power blackouts could have been devastating, making it difficult to even flush the toilet because most urban areas use electric water pumps.

“I have come away from our recent studies more convinced than ever that Earth and its inhabitants were incredibly fortunate that the 2012 eruption happened when it did,” Daniel Baker at the University of Colorado, who led a study of the storm in Space Weather

Similarly, An electromagnetic bomb or E-bomb is a weapon designed to disable electronics with an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) that can couple with electrical/electronic systems to produce damaging current and voltage surges by electromagnetic induction. The effects are usually not noticeable beyond 10 km of the blast radius unless the device is nuclear or specifically designed to produce an electromagnetic pulse. Small nuclear weapons detonated at high altitudes can produce a strong enough signal to disrupt or damage electronics many miles from the locus of the explosion. During a nuclear EMP, the magnetic flux lines of the Earth alter the dispersion of energy so that it radiates very little to the North, but spreads out East, West, and South of the blast. The signal is divided into several time components, and can result in thousands of volts per meter of electromagnetic energy ranging from extreme negative to extreme positive polarities. This energy can travel long distances on power lines and through the air.

These are the two most likely dangers that could destroy our way of life as we know it on earth. Either event could wipe out all our communications and technological equipment we have, rendering all our technology useless for years.

The last CME event took place in 1859 and destroyed practically all telegraph communications in the United States. At that particular period in times, telegraph was the only means of electronic communication available, and did very little to disrupt the life of the average person. Today, it is entirely different.

There is not one element of our life that isn’t controlled by electronics, from cooking your morning breakfast to our national defense. If we were struck with an Electromagnetic Pulse or a coronal mass ejection, we could be crippled, unable to function and perform the simplest of tasks.

It is just a matter of time before another CME strikes, they happen all the time, if the planet is in the wrong place at the wrong time, it will happen and there is nothing we can do about it.

We can protect ourselves from the CME, it is possible to beef up our power grid so it would not be affected by it, the cost would be abut 30 billion dollars, chicken feed in today’s world.

It can be done, the problem is getting  congress to move and solve the problem. Government never acts until there is a disaster, and then it is to late.

Our national defenses can protect us from an EMP,  but it would take an act of congress to protect us from CMEs.

Just a little common sense could solve this problem.

UPS:Every Effort to Make On time Deliveries

UPS always made extreme efforts to deliver every parcel on time, especially air parcels.

One morning as I was preparing to leave the building, my driver supervisor asked me where I was going to be at ten twenty. Being a smart aleck, I replied that I would be the same place I always was at ten twenty.

He said I needed to be at the Dairy Queen at ten twenty. I replied there was no way, I had a schedule to maintain and it would take me twenty minutes to drive out there and then drive back to resume my deliveries.

He replied there was a taxi cab bringing a next day air package from the Indianapolis airport and I needed to meet him and deliver it to the hospital before ten thirty.

Confused I asked what was going on. He related to me a package had missed its flight in Dallas the night before so UPS bought the parcel an airline ticket, flew it to Indy, and then hired a cab to bring it to Batesville seventy miles from the airport.

What else could I do?

I pulled off my area and drove to the Dairy Queen. As I drove behind the DQ, Gib the owner flagged me on. I stopped anyway and asked him what was going on. He replied the cab driver had been there ten minutes before with the package.

The cabbie asked Gib where the hospital was, Gib pointed to it across the field and instructed the cabbie to just take it over there.

Ah, the benefits of living in a small town.

The Right To Bear Arms

The secrets our founders knew

The debate continues to rage concerning to our right to bear arms.  I refer you to an excerpt written by  Bill Federer, well known columnist concerning this subject. 

As you can plainly see, there ins’t any doubt in the minds of our founders concerning our right to bear arms. 

On March 5, 1770, a mob formed in Boston to protest. In the confusion, British troops fired into the crowd, killing five, one of which was the African-American patriot, Crispus Attucks. This became known as the Boston Massacre. Paul Revere’s popular engraving of the Boston Massacre fanned flames of anti-British sentiment.

On the second anniversary of the Boston Massacre, 1772, the president of Massachusetts’ Colonial Congress, Joseph Warren, who would later send Paul Revere on his midnight ride, stated: “If you perform your part, you must have the strongest confidence that the same Almighty Being who protected your pious and venerable forefathers … will still be mindful of you. … May our land be a land of liberty … until the last shock of time shall bury the empires of the world in one common undistinguishable ruin!”

America was like ancient Israel in that every man was in the militia, armed, and ready at a moment’s notice to defend his community.

On the fourth anniversary of the Boston Massacre, 1774, John Hancock, who would be the first to sign the Declaration of Independence, stated: “Will not a well-disciplined militia afford you ample security against foreign foes? We want not courage; it is discipline alone in which we are exceeded by the most formidable troops that ever trod the earth. … A well-disciplined militia is a safe, an honorable guard to a community like this, whose inhabitants are by nature brave, and are laudably tenacious of that freedom in which they were born. From a well-regulated militia we have nothing to fear; their interest is the same with that of the state. When a country is invaded, the militia are ready to appear in its defense; they march into the field with that fortitude which a consciousness of the justice of their cause inspires. …

The Korean War Memorial in Washington D.C.

The Korean War began on June 25, 1950  when some 75,000 soldiers from the North Korean People’s Army poured across the 38th parallel, the boundary between the Soviet-backed Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to the north and the pro-Western Republic of Korea to the south.

By July, American troops had entered the war on South Korea’s behalf. As far as American officials were concerned, it was a war against the forces of international communism itself. They felt, an rightfully so that communism could not be allowed to spread across the world, it had to be stopped.

Unlike World War II and Vietnam, the Korean War did not get much media attention in the United States. It became the forgotten war.  The most famous representation of the war in popular culture is the television series “M*A*S*H,” which was set in a field hospital in South Korea.

Many feared it was the first step in a communist campaign to take over the world. For this reason, nonintervention was not considered an option by many top decision makers. (In fact, in April 1950, a National Security Council report known as NSC-68 had recommended that the United States use military force to “contain” communist expansionism anywhere it seemed to be occurring, “regardless of the intrinsic strategic or economic value of the lands in question.”)

The Korean War was relatively short but exceptionally bloody. Nearly 5 million people died. More than half of these–about 10 percent of Korea’s prewar population–were civilians. (This rate of civilian casualties was higher than World War II’s and Vietnam’s.) Almost 40,000 Americans died in action in Korea, and more than 100,000 were wounded.

A truce was obtained, with neither side winning, the start of an illadivised trend in American warfare that continues today. 

Growing up on a dairy farm in southeastern Indiana, Gary traveled very little until midlife, when the opportunity became available to him.

Grabbing his camera and a bag full of equipment, he began his vision quest traveling to most areas of the United States and several countries abroad.

Along the way he collected several thousand photographs that he wants to share with everyone.

The NFL Dilemma

Wisdom lost through the ages, common sense is no longer common.

The NFL, National Football League, has a tremendous problem.

The kneeling incident, created by several black players. protesting the actions of police who have upheld the law by arresting and sometimes shooting activists who have resisted arrest and threatened the lives of police officers, is backfiring on the league.

Fans are getting tired of the continuous protests, especially since they are based on a lie.

There was no police brutality, and in most cases, no racism. Just police officers upholding the law and protecting their own lives.

But it is a bigger problem than that, and it has been coming for a long time.

At one time, athletes were role models, someone a kid could look up to and emulate, someone to model their life after.  Athletes lived to a higher standard, they avoided trouble, and tried to live a good moral life.

That time has disappeared, especially in the NFL and the NBA, in today’s world many have fallen from grace and are no longer role models.

About half of the NFL players have some sort of police record and many have served time in jail.

Except for congress, no organization has this high of a crime rate.

I wonder if this is why they don’t like the police?

In any profession, you only hire the best people you can find, and their criminal record is taken into account. How many businesses would hire someone with a criminal record?

Most corporate executives know that to hire people of that caliber, you are only asking for trouble, so they shy away from them and never employ them, thus avoiding trouble.

The NFL ignores this issue, and cater to them because of their talent.

They are discovering that regardless of their talent, these people are becoming a liability.

The few trouble makers are destroying the game for everyone, the players, teams, and the fans.

Where are the Peyton Mannings and Tim Tebows?

Remember when Tim Tebow was scorned for praying on the field?

Now players are praised for exercising their so-called first amendment rights.

The fans go to the games to be entertained, they are trying to forget all the political garbage in the world today, and a vast majority of fans are extremely patriotic, the last thing they want to see is an over paid entitled Prima Donna protesting about how hard life is when they are making millions of dollars a year throwing a football.

The only way this is going to get settled is for the decent athletes to stand up to the nonsense and once again return some common sense and decency to the sport.

If they don’t, the sport will be ruined beyond repair.

The Benghazi Video

What has government done for you?

We all remember the uproar created when Hillary blamed the attack on our embassy in Benghazi on a UTube video.

Even though that wasn’t the cause of the attack, it created quite a roar, and many still believe it.

About a month after the 2016 election, My wife and I happened to be having dinner at a restaurant in Venice Florida with a friend and a couple of her friends. 

I was sitting next to the gentleman and we were engaging in casual conversation when I by chance brought up the previous election. 

I think I said the wrong thing, the man next to me exploded, “I wouldn’t vote for Hillary on a bet,  Obama and she tried to get me killed.”

Taken aback, I asked why.

It seems he had produced the original video, which was favorable to the Islamic religion. It had been edited by the young producer and changed to cast an unfavorable light on the Muslim people, this was the video the blame for the attacks was placed on.

As a result, this man had all the major networks calling his office, who in turn called him to discover what was going on, when in fact, he knew nothing. 

Finally, the local sheriff gave him a visit and recommended he get out of the country for a while, which he did.

Even though he had nothing to do with the final production of the video and the video, in the end, had nothing to do with the Benghazi raid, his life and the life of his wife, and possibly even his employees was placed in grave danger.

All in the cause of politics and people in government having their own agenda, with little regard for anyone else or their safety.

The Hypocrisy Of the Left

What has government done for you?

Every since I was a small pup, the republican political elected officials have been portrayed as stupid, bungling idiots who want only to take away grandma’s social security and start a war. Although there have been wars started by GOP presidents, wars have been started by democrats as well, and grandma’s social security is still intact.

Goldwater was portrayed as a war monger, if we had followed his advice, maybe Vietnam wouldn’t have gone on so long.  Nixon was a crook for recording conversations, I’m not saying it was the right thing to do but something that both Kennedy and Johnson did before him.

Reagan was an idiot, Quayle couldn’t spell, GW was stupid, and now Trump is crazy.

I got news for you, the GOP doesn’t hold a monopoly on politicians doing dishonest and immoral actions.

LBJ called Vietnam his war, and his discretions against Lady Bird were numerous, committing immoral acts on Air Force One with his wife present. He openly bragged about enabling voter fraud creating a Kennedy win in 1960.

Kennedy was a womanizer and totally messed up the Cuban era  Bay of Pigs in which hundreds of Cubans were slaughtered on the beach after he promised military aid and didn’t follow up on his promise. It is hard to find any Cuban over the age of sixty that has a favorable opinion of JFK.

Carter was another story.

Clinton had the famous blue dress, Al Gore of global warming fame, thought the Texas Eagle was a bird when in fact it was an Amtrak train.

The gaffs of Obama are too many to mention, among the largest, Obama stating he had been to 57 states with two more left to visit.

Biden’s fondling and inappropriately touching women also comes to mind, not to mention the hundreds of times he misspoke.

Inappropriate behavior by politicians isn’t limited to one party, it happens on both sides of the aisle, but the liberal press covers up the times it happens on the left and magnifies it on the right until the naive public believes the worst of one party while they excuse anything that happens on the left, hypocrisy at it finest.

Muslim Attacks in the Mediterranean Lead to the “Discovery” of the New World

The Muslims and Christians have been fighting for centuries, it has been an on-going battle that has continued through the millennia.

During that time period, Muslim pirate Barbarossa wrecked havoc in the Mediterranean, raiding the coasts of France, Italy, and Spain, carrying away thousands of Europeans into slavery. In the process,Muslim Turks had conquered the Byzantine Empire,  u were invading Serbia, Hungary, and Bulgaria. Suleiman’s armies surrounded Vienna, Austria, in 1529. For centuries Arab, Turkish, Mughal and Afghan conquerors killed  millions of Hindus and Sikhs in India and the East.

The Spanish soldier proved to be the most successful champion in defending Christendom. Spain’s King Ferdinand put a halt to the 700-year Muslim occupation of western Europe. Using gold from the New World, Spain was able to push back the Muslim invaders on land and sea.

It was during this time, the Europeans began running out of resources to fight the good fight. At the risk of Europe being over run and conquered by the invaders, new sources of revenue had to be found and found quickly.

Hearing of vast sources of gold and other valuable resources to the west, their attention naturally turned to discovering ways of tapping into this perceived wealth.

The Spanish at that time were one of the major leaders in the world so the task fell to them to explore the new world.

The natives of the America’s had never advanced their civilization one iota over the last ten thousand years and thus had none of the modern conveniences or technology the Europeans, Chinese, Tuks or others possessed, so it was just a matter of time before they were conquered by someone, at the time, the Spanish were the most powerful.

There is a lesson to be learned here for everyone when we don’t advance our learning and knowledge, sooner or later another culture will overtake us and destroy our way of life.

So Many in The United States Are Addicted to Drugs and Alcohol, Why?

 

Life was a lot slower and simpler in the fifties and sixties.

It seems that every day, the news is filled with reports of people overdosing on drugs and alcohol.

This problem seems to affect every age and social group, from the very rich to the very poor, men , women, and children.

We live in the greatest nation ever conceived by modern day man, we have opportunities available that were unimaginable even just a few years ago. We have luxuries and conveniences available to almost everyone that were once reserved for only the elites and privileged.

So, why in the presence of all these niceties of life, when life should be a piece of cake , do so many people resort to drugs and alcohol to drown their sorrows? Most people should be living life as if they have nothing to worry about.

There is one thing everyone has forgotten about, an issue that began to appear many years ago when our prosperity began to blossom.

As our material life improved by leaps and bounds, our spiritual life began a decline, people forgot about the things that made this country great. In many cases, people quit going to church and supporting the many fraternal, civic, and social organizations that were once the fabric of our society. People quit talking to each other, many times moving to various parts of the country for income opportunities, where like-minded people didn’t exist.

When people from different parts of the country live in one community, they no longer share a common background or history, thus they often have nothing in common, and along with that many differences of opinions, beliefs, and social structure.

It’s nice to have diversity, but too much of a good thing often has negative effects. We can all socialize with people from different backgrounds, but to build long-term lasting relationships is a horse of a different color. It’s never the same as when we are around like minded people who we share many common interests with and who we have known all our lives.

All of this, plus the theory that our religious organizations in many cases no longer satisfy the needs of the populace, has lead to a moral breakdown of our country

Many people are asking questions about their spirituality that the churches can’t or won’t answer. Too many people who ask why bad things happen in their lives, the standard answer, “It’s God’s Will” no longer suffices, people want answers as to why “It’s God’s Will.”

Thus, they have fallen away from any kind of spiritual teachings, leaving a void in their lives.

Instead of searching for answers in unconventional ways, they have given up and resorted to an easier course, drugs, and alcohol to drown their sorrows and misery.

However short term and destructive this may be, it is a quick fix and before long they are so removed from their spiritual foundation, they no longer care, or are even aware of their precarious position.

Over a  period of time, and after a couple of generations, many forget about the time-worn principles of life taught them by their forefathers. The guiding principles that have guided mankind from the beginning of time, the laws of nature , and nature’s God.

Sometimes we need to find new ways to learn old things, sometimes we just need to go back and learn the old ways, get back to the basics.

People have lost sight of God and made government their God. When government fails them, which it will, they are disillusioned and have nowhere to turn. They have no confidence in themselves and feel hopeless.

They then rely on another false God, drugs.

Because of all this, our country has gotten into one mell of a hess.

Do yourself and your country a big favor, get up off your duff and do something besides stare at a computer screen sixteen hours a day.

Join a fraternal, civic, or social organization, get active in a church, put some purpose in your life, soon you will be so busy you won’t have time to take any drugs or alcohol and you will be helping not only yourself but others as well.

By doing so, you can get this once great country back on track.

The Declining State of the U.S. Military

What has Government Done for You?

Over the weekend, I had the opportunity to talk with a Master Sergeant in the Marine Corps.

After discussing current political issues for a few minutes, I asked him point blank if the military was in as a bleak condition as many say they are.

All he did was grimace and give me a nod to the affirmative.

He said moral was at an all time low, in the twenty-six years he has served he said he has never seen things the way they are today.

There is a general lack of discipline and respect.  Many no longer respect each other, many young recruits no longer respect superior officers. If given a direct order they will respond that they have something else they need to do first, or ignore the order altogether.

Many of the younger soldiers will start to cry if criticized or reprimanded.

How are we supposed to fight a war, if needed, with solders such as these? What use are they?

How did we get here?

Many want to blame Obama and his gang of liberals.

You can’t blame Obama entirely, he just took advantage of a situation that was handed to him on a silver platter.

He was voted into office by American citizens.

For the past sixty years ,we have been traveling down this road of liberalism. Most of us never said a word, we just went along enjoying the good life given to us by not only our hard work but the hard work and sacrifice of those who came before us.

Now the chickens have come home to roost.

We have descended into moral and culture decay through our own actions. Now , many forces have come into play to change our country into something we no longer recognize. Before log it will be too late, now is the time to begin to change the direction we are headed.

It will be difficult, but it can be done, it will take the actions of all of us, the government can’t and won’t do it for us, they are in on the scheme.

The only way to rectify the current trend is for each and every one of us to take control of our lives, make our own decisions and stop letting the government do everything for us.

Our country wasn’t founded on the idea of socialism and dependency, it was founded so each of us could lead our own lives based on how we wanted to live.

If we return to the principles of hard work, personal responsibility, and a belief in a higher source, we can turn this thing around.
