Sycamore Canyon

 

Sycamore Canyon , located about six miles northwest of Sedona is a canyon with a lot of mystery . People have been known to enter the canyon and never be seen again. Many paranormal phenomena is always associated with it. 

One person made the comment that the last thing she wanted to do in Sedona was to fly over it. On the way back to the airport , her plane crashed , and she was killed instantly.

HIking back the trail behind Enchantment Resort , you will find white beach sand with sea shells , at an elevation of about 4,500 feet.

I have found over the years that there is no such thing as reality, it is only how we perceive it. Each of us may have a different view of it because of our different beliefs and experiences. Two individuals can be sitting side by side, looking at the same event and “see” two entirely different outcomes based on their individual perceptions

How Many More Miracles Do You Need.

From time to time I post interesting articles I find from other bloggers.

Interesting perspective. 

For the past few days, it seems like I have done nothing but struggle to keep myself moving forward and live day to day. It has seemed like no matter what I had done or where I went there was a battle of some sort that I had to fight. Like all hell was coming against me. I cried out to God, but it seemed pointless. Useless.

As I was driving down the road one day a profound question was suddenly stirred into my spirit; “How many more miracles do you need?” At the surface of it, it seems irrelevant and unhelpful but when I realized the purpose of the question I could not help but repent of how distrusting I was of God.

As Christians, prayer is the means of talking to our Heavenly Father about the problems that we face. About the hurt. About our loved ones who are not saved. About the fighting going on across this land. About life. Sometimes it seems like God doesn’t hear us or He isn’t answering our prayers. However, what we must understand is that God is not audible in how He speaks to us therefore we can easily miss what He’s saying. I believe the main problem is that we look for Him to speak in one way when we miss Him speaking in another way. Don’t limit God as to how He can speak to you or else you’ll miss it.

After going so long with us missing what God is saying to us it may feel like God has not heard you.

Like your prayers have bounced off the ceiling and back down.

Like God does not care.

Like God is ignoring you.

Like God is taking too long to respond.

Like God is too busy for you.

Like God isn’t even real.

It can easily become depressing when we have not heard from God or we don’t see Him moving in our situation. It can even cause us to lose our faith in Him. But, in truth, God has heard your cries and He is working on our behalf even if we can’t quite see it just yet.

I can personally attest to this through an issue that I am currently fighting, it has taken me a month to realize that it is actually an answered prayer. You see, about two months ago great things began happening in my church and we were anticipating a great future. In response, I began praying that God would remove anyone who would get in our way of moving forward in the Kingdom of God. In the last month, my church has faced a great trial over a very petty issue yet people who had caused issues through that trial are no longer attending my church. As a part of the leadership of my church I have felt the pain and sleepless nights as we fight through this problem. Sometimes it’s hard to understand why God would have allowed something like this to happen right when we were looking for great things to begin to happen. What I just realized, though, is that this was all just an answer to my prayers. God was removing the people who would just get in our way and would ultimately hold us back but I couldn’t see this because I was so wrapped up in the hurt.

In these times where it seems like God is silent, we seem to abandon the memories of how many times God has come through for us.

How many times He has healed us.

How many times He has saved us from trouble.

How many times He has come right on time.

How many times He has answered prayers.

How many times He has performed miracles.

How many times He has given us strength.

Just ponder for a moment of how many times He has come through for you when it seemed like there was no way out. Ponder on how even many more times we have not thanked Him or trusted Him to see us through. To quote an unknown author, “Until God opens the next door, praise Him in the hallway.” I believe this quote is just a cliche and honestly doesn’t mean much of anything to anyone until they find themselves in a hallway and see how difficult it is the praise God in the times of waiting. When you have found that place is when your faith is truly put to the test.

So, how many more miracles do you need? How much more do you need God to show up and bring you out of your mess before you fully trust Him and stop wandering where He’s at next time you’re in a pit? When will you learn to praise Him in the hallway until He opens the door for you?

Kid's Quickies

It was Palm Sunday and, because of a sore throat, five-year-old Johnny stayed home from church with a sitter. When the family returned home, they were carrying several palm branches. The boy asked what they were for. “People held them over Jesus’ head as he walked by,”

his older brother explained. “Wouldn’t you know it,” the boy fumed. “The one Sunday I don’t go, He showed up!”

One Easter Sunday morning as the minister was preaching the children’s sermon, he reached into his bag of props
and pulled out an egg. He pointed at the egg and asked the children, “What’s in here?”

“I know!” a little boy exclaimed. “Pantyhose!”

The prospective father-in-law asked, “Young man, can you support a family?”

The surprised groom-to-be replied, “Well, no. I was just planning to support your daughter. The rest of you will have to fend for yourselves.”

Little Johnny asked his grandma how old she was. Grandma answered, “39 and holding.”

The  Boynton Canyon vortex is all about balance, while the other vortexes are either male or female, magnetic or electromagnetic, this one is all about balance.

The Balance between the masculine and feminine side is almost as important as growth itself. Even a less evolved person, if he is balanced, at least treats others the same way he treats himself. And that is what balance is all about. If the masculine side strongly outweighs the feminine, you are too strong for the amount of goodness you have, and you tend to do harm to others because you can be pushy and take unfair advantage of others. On the other hand, if the feminine side greatly outweighs the masculine, you have more goodness than strength, and you tend to let others push you around and take advantage of you. Emotions are a good indication of this balance. If you feel anger more easily than fear, your masculine side is stronger, and if the opposite is true, your feminine side is stronger. Having a good masculine/feminine balance also helps relationships by strengthening the things that make relationships work well, such as intimacy, commitment, honesty and openness.

Nothing Ever Goes Away

We can’t outrun problems. 

Many people seem to think they can solve their problems by running away from them. They often move to another town or state to escape from some situation. Unless there are people involved who are only interested in creating mayhem in your life this doesn’t work. Even then, many times the individuals who are intent on making your life miserable will still hunt you down, or someone just like them will take their place in your life. 

If we are being bullied, the only solution is to deal with the bully, run and someone else will just take his place and make your life miserable until you learn to deal with it.  

Nothing ever goes away until it has taught us what we need to know, nothing ever really attacks us except our own confusion.

If we run as fast as we can to the ends of the earth, the problem will be there waiting for us when we arrive.

It just keeps returning with a new name until we learn whatever it has to teach us that we need to know. 

The only way to solve a problem is to face up to it, and deal with it, then the issue will finally be resolved and we can go on with our lives.

There is an extreme shortage of common sense in today’s world, I often think back to what my parents and grandparents believed and said, at the time I thought they were totally out of their mind and ignored it. I now wish I would have listened and followed their advice more often.
